Thai Massage Expertise in the Spotlight

The meeting of traditional massage expertise and modern wellness technology is attracting fresh attention. A recent Lady News video covering OSIM uDream.AI highlights a product concept that brings together massage masters, artificial intelligence and a more personalised approach to home relaxation. For Loft Thai Spa, this story is particularly meaningful: it reflects a collaboration in which our knowledge of Thai massage helped inform part of the chair’s massage experience.

Loft Thai Spa contributed Thai massage expertise to the Thai Stretch Massage programme within OSIM’s World Masters Massage Series. Through this collaboration, selected principles of stretching, rhythmic pressure and coordinated movement were adapted for the OSIM uDream.AI well-being chair.

We are proud to share this coverage with our guests, partners and wider community. Beyond the product itself, the collaboration offers an opportunity to recognise the people, practice and professional knowledge behind a massage experience.

For us, the most interesting question is not simply what technology can do. It is how technology can learn from experienced practitioners while respecting the traditions that shaped their work.

A Collaboration Built on Thai Massage Expertise

The Art of Nuad Bo-Rarn: A Master’s Guide to the Top 10 Thai Massage Techniques

The Loft Thai Spa x OSIM collaboration connects two different areas of expertise: hands-on massage practice and massage-chair development. In its own account of the project, OSIM describes working closely with master therapists from Loft Thai Spa, studying Thai massage techniques and translating selected movements into repeatable actions for uDream.AI. This places our contribution within the development of the massage experience, rather than simply alongside the finished product as a promotional partnership.

That distinction matters to us. A Thai-inspired programme should have a meaningful connection to Thai massage—not just a name that sounds familiar. Understanding the source technique is an essential starting point.

Our role was to bring a practitioner’s perspective into that conversation. How should a movement progress? What gives a sequence its rhythm? Where should pressure feel deliberate, and where should the experience allow a moment of release?

These questions express the priorities we want people to associate with Loft Thai Spa: attention, intention and respect for the person receiving the massage. A sophisticated product may contain many technologies, but the experience should still feel considered rather than complicated.

Master Khun Pie: The Human Expertise Behind the Story

At the heart of Loft Thai Spa’s contribution is Master Khun Pie, a master therapist at Loft Thai Spa and Senior Instructor at Nuad Thai School. With more than 20 years of experience, she has trained, guided and managed teams of more than 100 therapists. Her professional background brings together practical treatment work, body mechanics and the transmission of Thai massage knowledge to other practitioners.

OSIM also introduces Khun Pie as part of its World Masters presentation, explicitly identifying her connection with Loft Thai Spa. Her inclusion makes the source of the Thai massage contribution visible to people discovering the chair.

For our team, that recognition is important. Behind every polished treatment is time spent learning, practising, observing and refining. We believe those foundations deserve as much attention as the finished experience.

Khun Pie’s involvement also gives this collaboration a personal dimension. Rather than presenting Thai massage as an anonymous collection of movements, the project connects it with an identifiable practitioner and a professional community. It is a reminder that innovation can begin with listening carefully to someone who has spent years developing a skill.

Translating Thai Massage Principles into Chair-Based Movement

Adapting hands-on massage to a chair requires interpretation. A therapist and a mechanical system work in different ways, so the objective cannot simply be to transfer an entire treatment unchanged.

Loft Thai Spa’s account of the collaboration describes work on movement angles, timing, body positioning and pressure sequences. Selected stretching, neck-and-shoulder and rhythmic-pressure principles were examined and refined for the chair-based format. The contribution was therefore about translating elements of technique into a different delivery system.

It helps to think of this as a design conversation. A practitioner can demonstrate a sequence, but the development team must also consider how that sequence will be expressed through the chair’s supported positions and controlled movements.

The important questions extend beyond intensity. What happens before a stretch? How does the experience move from one action to the next? Does the sequence feel connected, or does it feel like a series of unrelated instructions?

For Loft Thai Spa, this is where professional massage knowledge becomes especially relevant. Our preferred measure of a thoughtful experience is not how dramatic a movement looks. It is whether the overall sequence has a clear purpose and a coherent rhythm.

Thai Stretch Within the World Masters Massage Series

The Art of Nuad Bo-Rarn: A Master’s Guide to the Top 10 Thai Massage Techniques

The World Masters Massage Series gives the Thai Stretch programme a broader context. OSIM presents programmes inspired by Thai Stretch, Chinese Tui Na and Japanese Shiatsu, bringing several massage traditions into the uDream.AI experience. The product’s massage systems include V-Hand® Pro+ kneading and gripping actions and 4-Hand® Pro+ technology for coordinated upper- and lower-body massage.

Within that wider platform, Loft Thai Spa’s contribution remains specific: Thai massage expertise.

We value that clarity. Different traditions should not be treated as interchangeable labels, and participation in one programme should not be confused with developing every feature of a product.

The World Masters concept is most meaningful to us when it encourages curiosity. Someone who discovers a Thai-inspired stretching programme at home may become interested in learning more about the practice behind it, the practitioners who contributed and the experience of receiving a personalised Thai massage.

That connection between discovery and understanding is something we are proud to support.

Where Artificial Intelligence Fits into the Experience

The Lady News coverage also draws attention to the technology side of uDream.AI, including its collaboration with Binah.ai. According to OSIM, its AI wellness analysis uses a compatible device’s camera to assess selected wellness indicators and calculate a Stress Score. That information can help guide a personalised five-senses massage programme, while the OSIM Well-Being App allows users to monitor selected information over time. OSIM describes these readings as general-wellness information, not medical diagnosis or medical advice.

This is a separate layer from Loft Thai Spa’s massage contribution. Our involvement concerns the Thai techniques informing the experience; the wider technology platform brings its own engineering and specialist partnerships.

For us, the value of personalisation is the attention it directs towards the individual. Rather than discussing wellness only in terms of stronger pressure or a longer session, it invites a more useful question: what kind of experience is appropriate for this moment?

We welcome innovation that encourages that mindset. Technology should make an experience easier to understand and engage with, while the expertise behind it should remain visible.

More Than Movement: A Multisensory Approach to Relaxation

OSIM positions uDream.AI as a five-senses well-being chair rather than a product focused exclusively on mechanical massage. Its published information describes a wider environment incorporating sound, lighting and scent. Among its specialist collaborations are acoustics developed with Devialet and aroma technology associated with dsm-firmenich.

This broader approach resonates with how we think about hospitality at Loft Thai Spa. We want relaxation to begin before the central treatment and continue beyond its final movement.

The welcome, the atmosphere and the opportunity to step away from daily demands all belong to the experience we aim to create. A treatment should not feel isolated from its surroundings.

The same principle provides an interesting way to understand home wellness. Setting aside a moment for yourself can be more intentional than simply switching on a device. It can mean choosing a quieter environment, putting distractions aside and allowing the session to become a genuine pause.

For us, thoughtful design should support that pause—not compete for attention within it.

Bringing the Collaboration to Life in Bangkok

The Art of Nuad Bo-Rarn: A Master’s Guide to the Top 10 Thai Massage Techniques

The collaboration also became a public learning experience in Bangkok. On 21 August 2026, Loft Thai Spa joined OSIM Thailand at EmQuartier for the launch of OSIM uDream.AI: The Realm of Wellness. The wider experience ran from 21 to 31 August at A SPACE, Level 3, combining product discovery with practitioner-led knowledge.

Master Khun Pie led a workshop introducing approachable self-massage and stretching principles, including neck-and-shoulder awareness and ideas relevant to people spending long periods at a desk, using screens or travelling. Guests could connect that practical introduction with the Thai Stretch concept presented within the chair.

We see this educational element as an important part of the partnership. A launch can introduce a product, but a workshop creates room for questions, participation and understanding.

It also brings the story back to people. Before discussing interfaces, programmes or product features, there is a person learning to pay closer attention to their own comfort.

Although the EmQuartier event has concluded, the media coverage offers another way to discover the collaboration and understand why Loft Thai Spa took part.

Home Wellness and Professional Spa Care Can Complement Each Other

A partnership with a massage-chair brand does not change our belief in the importance of professional, hands-on care. OSIM’s own account presents the collaboration as a way to make Thai-inspired massage more accessible at home, while describing the chair as complementary to traditional massage rather than a replacement for it.

That is also how we prefer to frame the relationship.

Our ambition is not to turn wellness into a choice between technology and therapists. We would rather encourage people to appreciate what they value in each setting.

At home, someone may be looking for a convenient moment of relaxation within an ordinary day. At a spa, they may be seeking dedicated time, personal attention and the opportunity to discuss their preferences with a practitioner.

For Loft Thai Spa, the human relationship remains central. We want guests to feel comfortable asking questions, communicating their preferred pressure and explaining what they hope to experience.

The collaboration is therefore an extension of our interest in better wellness experiences—not a departure from the personal care on which our spa is built.

Discover the Loft Thai Spa Experience in Bangkok

For readers discovering Loft Thai Spa through the OSIM story, our Bangkok locations offer an opportunity to explore the hands-on side of our work. Loft Thai Spa welcomes guests in private treatment rooms at three Sukhumvit locations: Sukhumvit 24 in Phrom Phong, Sukhumvit 38 in Thong Lo and Sukhumvit 71 in Phra Khanong. Our treatment offering includes traditional Thai massage, oil massage, therapeutic massage, facials and spa experiences.

We invite guests to approach a visit with curiosity rather than the expectation that every massage should feel the same. Tell us what you enjoy, what you would prefer to avoid and how you would like to spend your time.

For those interested in the practitioner behind the collaboration, Loft Thai Spa also offers a limited number of private sessions with Khun Pie, subject to availability. These provide an opportunity to experience her work directly and meet the master therapist associated with the Thai Stretch contribution.

Whether your introduction to Loft Thai comes through a treatment, a workshop or a wellness innovation, we want it to lead to a better understanding of the care behind the experience.

A Proud Moment to Share with Our Community
